Florida Department of Juvenile Justice
Delinquency Prevention Grant
The Florida Department of Juvenile Justice announces that applications
for FY 2004-05 delinquency prevention grant funding are now available
on the Department's website at www.djj.state.fl.us
- Prevention and Victim Services - Funding Opportunities.
The application is due February 9, 2004. The
Department will sponsor a statewide video teleconference on January
8th. This presentation will review the goals of the Department
as they relate to delinquency prevention grant funding and how
to complete the grant application.
This also provides an opportunity
for potential applicants to ask questions (and get answers). Participants
are encouraged to contact their local Delinquency Prevention Specialist
for the video teleconference location nearest them. A list of
Specialists is presented both on line and in the application.
Current grant recipients eligible for renewal need to reapply
for consideration. Current grant-funded programs that have received
funding for three years or more are ineligible for renewal. Grant
applications will be reviewed and scored by grant review committees
of the Juvenile Justice County Councils and Circuit Boards.
The Department's website contains
data and statistics that can help applicants under the Research
and Statistics pages. For additional information, contact Tim
Center at (850) 921-5277 or (850) 488-3302.
